I wish our SRCDS was only utilizing 40% CPU and a TOP in the 1.0 area. Most of the time, if there are two SRCDS running against each other, they are both over 50% CPU a piece (of 200%) and the TOP is at 2 or greater. Throw in a 1.6 server or two and you are looking at CSS Servers of 70% CPU apiec

Hey Fox, and the others, yes I know that when loadaverages is at 1, the server is running at its maximum. But I got peaks with 3-4 ... So the Server only got 1 CPU, its an AMD 2200, the Problem is, thats it is a Sempron. I've got a 2.6 Kernel with 1000Hz rate And only 512MB RAM, but Linux was alw

Loadaverages of over 1 usually mean lag in my experience - when at dual CPU's, 2 would be the upper limit, so that would suggest your hardware isn't fast enough... But what hardware are we talking about? I may have missed something here, but I think I didn't see what hardware you're running on. ;-
