Lehrer did a segment on the night. I believe the current incarnation of
the Iraqi Symphony is much decimated, and the orchestra performing that
night was a mixture of the National Symphony and the Iraqi Orchestra.
It was mentioned that Yamaha, among other corporations, has donated

I was working on my valves once again to see if I could do anything extra to
speed them up and I started looking at the springs. All of the tension in

Hiya,
After several months of sanity I am back on the horn list. Greetings
to friends past and future.

with and at a price even a horn player could love,

William,
Springs can be wound by hand without buying any tools except a good pair of
flat nosed pliers.
In place of the$200 tool, use a valve lever and bend the spring around it.
It takes a little practice to get them wound evenly -but it works.
