Actually, in my experience, the Horn has much greater inconsistencies in intonation from register to register. It¹s just that we¹re used to making THOSE adjustments and not the ones necessary to play mello in tune. That, coupled with old, poorly maintained instruments, incorrect mouthpiece choices
