I'm curious... I tried a couple 5802s in Macomb - both were pretty well in tune and both were quite fine instruments. Granted, I did have the main slides pulled about an inch each, but I wouldn't want it any other way. (What if the orchestra tunes sharp or drifts sharp?) Are your main slide

Hi Laura, I have a 5801 PMAL that I bought in December 08. The horn has a lovely sound and great valves but it is significantly sharp. At IHS, all of the Hoyer horns of this model (I don't know if they checked their other models) were sharp. Hoyer is making new tuning slides for me but I
