I think this is all a cover up...
What I think has *really* happened is, Dave has sold Hollywood the movie
rights to 'Bash Tips' for an eight figure sum and he has walked away
with a huge bung in his sky rocket (pocket). I hear it on the grape
vine that Keanu Reeves is in the frame for the lead

I think that we should form a task force to gather requirements for
building a consensus. Then solicit input from all affected parties.
Only then can we form a subcommittee to generate a proposal for review.

I think we should have a referendum over this.
I demand we have a referendum where the alternative to the status quo is
not adequately explained, a whole bunch of people lie about it, change
marginally wins and then we spend the next three years arguing about it
and failing to implement what nob

Finally we'll be able to afford to have more than 3 shows in the queue.
On a serious note, if Audible would release under a free software license
AND support gnu linux, I would ALMOST consider not dumping HPR over such a
decision.

I must admit that I didn't notice the date immediately and was reading Ken's
"announcement" in disbelief. My Mrs knew something was up as I don't usually
start swearing this early in the day.
Perhaps so much of the news these days reads like an April 1st prank it's
getting hard to spot the real

Hah - this is the first message I've read in quite a while, and it made me LOL
pretty heartily (much needed in my moment of anguish over DNS registrar hell).
Thanks Ken!

Best news I've heard all year! That's fantastic that HPR is going to be funded
by the corporate entities that control mainstream media.
Happy April 1st Ken.

Hi All,
As you know HPR has a long history of providing quality technical
content. Over the years our growth has been organic supported by the
generous donations from the community. Now that podcasting has hit the
mainstream we are been contacted daily by corporations wishing to
sponsor our shows.
