The non-SMS volumes are not automatically processed like the SMS ones, you have to specify them specifically. You use the ADDVOL parameter (look in the HSM Storage Administration Reference for ADDVOL). You don't specify ADDVOL for SMS volumes, just the non-SMS one. Brian Westerman and From the

I would check you ACS routines to see if they have changed for this dataset. ACS can be coded so that no matter what the JCL says, the dataset only gets a specific amount. If you cannot preallocate the data set in an SMS pool with the space you want, it is like the space management tool (ACS

Until the APAR can be applied, we took the outage early Sunday morning to reboot all the LPARs and will each Sunday. I have worked in shops that IPL'd less often than 1 time every 6 months. This was before SYSPLEX. To solve by IPL is unnacceptable! - Too busy driving to stop for gas!
