Great catch, Mark. It is now on all my systems, as well.

Jumping from OS390 2.10 to zOS 1.08. I have a sandbox LPAR
pretty much running everything, and now I am trying to put on some bells
and whistles. I have followed this thread with GREAT interest and I am
working thru the RedBook right now. First I thought I would get zFS up

By the way,
using SETOMVS RESET=(F0) does NOT work the same as an IPL.
No,

Does D OMVS,PFS show all the FILSYSTYPEs you think it should?

If you can't find the above, put in in a BPXPRMnn member and then
activate it with a SET OMVS=(nn) operator command.
IIRC, you'd need to issue SETOMVS RESET=xx to activate a PFS

We do run with IOEPRMxx. The two parameters below--especially the second

It may be that the default values are now similar to these, but until I
added these lines, an existing zFS would not take multiple extents if it

I am getting ready to download my ServerPac from IBM. I have been asked to do
it using a zFS file rather than HFS.
I have done neither in the past. So I am wondering what needs to be done to
create a zFS file to receive the download to z/OS.
I have found past entries in the archives for

John,
Thanks. So far I am not sure our environment is even setup for zFS. I was not
able to find a parmlib member IOEPRMxx. Nor can I find the program IOEAGFMT in
the linklst/lpalist.
I may have to setup some ACS codes as well, I am not sure.
