He’s selling plain and simple. So is Mugzak. Some laboratory bs that he will
even show you in application code. Then no doubt analyze your application code
for a small (large) fee. Nobody is saying the mainframe is fool proof. But, it
is inherently (by design) more secure than any other

I suppose an associative array could be represented by a B-tree and COBOL
could support B-trees. SMOP.

If there is interest in understanding "what was the IPL-time MSTJClxx
parmlib member and from which data set", the syslog has that information,
such as
IEE252I MEMBER MSTJCL02 FOUND IN SYS2.PARMLIB
and
IEFJ200I MASTER SCHEDULER JCL FOR THIS IPL TAKEN FROM MEMBER MSTJCL02 OF

He’s trying to sell his company’s security services. Something I thought was
not allowed on this list.

Ouch!
If it's APF authorized then why does it need to do that? And why would you
allow such a vendor in the door?
Did you have a tool that discovered that the vendor's SVC
You're missing the point: there is no such SVC in the dispute. What is at issue
is the ability to detect key zero code that turns on JSCBAUTH, not the ability
to install trap doors.

There is no "such SVC". What is under discussion is code that runs legitimately
in key zero tuning on JSCBAUTH, not an SVC that does that.
IMHO, for 3rd party vendor that requires APF to use that to turn on JSCBAUTH
is grossly irresponsible, and I'd love for you to
What do you mean by "semi authorized?
I do remember IBM having a dangerous SVC to let ISPF run IEBCOPY, but hasn't
that been fixed long since?
