That is about what I figured, Thanks.

I kept reading and found out how to view the memo information. It
related to RACF and we will be using VM:Secure so I am moving on.

It worked for me but as always, YMMV.

So far, all is well 24 x 7 and counting. With that said, ple

CMS doesn't keep that information around anywhere that I know of. When
PROFILE or SYSPROF is running you could set a GLOBALV variable or stuff
something into NUCUSE
Maybe I should declare victory and move on..?

I recently loaded zVM 5.2 to a second level machine and only
made a slight glance at the VMFVIEW information. RSU went
smooth and I implemented the new system last Friday. We have run
without a problem for the last week on zVM 5.2 on our z800.
Ho Ra for big blue !

I am loading ZVM 5.2 to our squeaky clean Z890.
The SERVICE procedure completed and the manual says to execute VMFVIEW
SERVICE. I did and this showed up. What do I do with it???

No. They are updated whenever you issue the TIME, STIMER, or STIMERM

Richard,
CURRDATE and CURRTIME are updated during CMS IPL. Any STIMER

There have been a number of good posts regarding the
needs of the entry-level, and smaller IBM customers wanting to use z/VM
solutions. It is important for IBM to hear from those businesses
(some of which everyone hopes will grow to need System z9's).
But before everyone comes down on IBM too ha

If I'm correct. If your a New customer and dont have a IBM Os of any
flavor and would like to buy a entry level box then the Flex option is
out of the question as IBM no longer offers a 390 based Os that is
liscensed for a Flex based system..

Two last things. I admit that z890 or z900 hardware will scale better
without disrupting systems running on it, but I'd bet that most Flex
customers, like us, don't dream that they will ever need near what a
fully-cranked z890 can provide. Second, since IBM is staying firm on
what they will all
