Wow the greying of the IBM z/VM Development lab hits home (again).
For other doddering VM old-timers who also used VMSHARE (for any with VM

Hello
I am a ZOS system programmer, so I am a beginner in VM and Linux.
I had to install a ZVM and Linux for testing.

the whole CEC.
So, with SET CPUID on does not simulate an LPAR id.

For those of you doing cost justification cases for your existing System
z or planning upgrades, we've just published a number of white papers
that may prove interesting or useful in making the case.
The papers are available at

Enjoy...
Enjoy your retirement Will
Now I will not be able to schedule you to give the rest of those
management pitches that you do so well.darn!
Maybe I can get Mike to do them for us in his best B movie voice!
Take care,
Mark
