While it is true that the history data files do not contain the same
detail as raw mondata, they are worthwhile to review and investigate if
one is not
If I run a trace with PACKETTRACESIZE and TRACEONLY device I get trace data
but
can't get any data when trying PACKETTRACESIZE and TRACEONLY ipaddress.
Do anyone know if the TRACEONLY ipaddress statement is valid with
PACKETTRACESIZE
on a z/VM 5.2 system.

No, it does not; you must use a device name. We updated with z/VM 5.3
pubs with this
I am by no means an expert, but I do seem to remember that happening to me
once. I seem to remember the problem being something really simple.
Something as simple as the class on the reader.. I wish I could be more
helpfull.
