Never mind. My coworker Jim Hughes straightened me out. I guess I
can't add a high level qualifier to the output files.
Oh well.

Thanks all who responded. Since I do not have 530 installed yet, I do
not have ready access to its 19D. I have found documentation for the

to contact my Support Center personnel. I will be taking that advice
shortly.
After the real switches come back up, assuming the lights on the card
sync up properly which I would expect they would do.
Resetting the Vswitch controllers or CHPIDs should not be necessary.

Rich,

or just try that first?
You need to add all the web sites that you use to the list of web sites that are allowed pop ups.
That will solve many problems with finding information on the internet.

Yes, I have (by company decree) popups blocked. I will add IBM to the
list of OK sites and see what happens.

Jim,
I already have Joe Gregor working on a PMR, not about the lack of
documentation in 5,2, about what the messages said. Thanks, anyway.

Hello Don,
I believe it is the naming convention that you are using.

Richard: I found them in CP Messages and Codes Version 5 Release 3

Search for HCP2843E -ie exclude the 4th to 6th characters.
Looks like that's the problem. AST is not enabled. I have to look into it
closer because that config source that's supposedly in place has AST
defined. Unfortunately it's on a remote VM which I don't administer and I
don't have access to the RSCS config disk.
If available, check the RSCS

Untrue. VM supports a subset of DIAGNOSE 204 capabilities. Apparently
that subset is not sufficient to make SDSF happy. There are no

I should have thought of it, but I guess I haven't been around PCs and
the Internet long enough to have that etched into my brain. Either that
or the cells where it was have eroded beyond recovery.

I am trying to get definitive answer as to what releases on z/OS will run on
a z9 using z/VM.
The only table I can find

HCPSWU2843E , HCPSWU2831E and HCPSWU2830I do not seem to be documented
anywhere obvious; not in Lookat Messages, not in the HELP. I have even
searched the books (not just the titles) of the z/VM 5.2 and z/VM 5.3
shelves and found no hits. What is going on when they appear? What do we
do to fix
I did find HCPSWU2830I, but the others are still among the missing.
