I found it, although 'it' is not as complete as I had remembered. What I am referring to is some nice 'how to' doc for DIRMAINT. Appendix 'F' was added to 5.3 admin guide this is a procedure for making mass changes to the directory and putting it back online. I wish there were more easy to find

Just a note to say that I was right about the cause of Suleiman's problem. We located a large chunk of kryptonite under the raised floor near the tape drives (in an undisclosed location). The shielding had slipped and was affecting the tapes. Suleiman has been sent a new order. On a lark,

What does it take to get a PDF from a CMS file to a successful browser display? We are, for now, using WEBSHARE. We get a message telling us that the file does not start with %PDF-; however, all files I have tried do begin with those ASCII characters. We have tried files created by TXT2PDF and

The corrupt file error may be something to do with the plug-in for your browser. Try saving the file and then opening it in the full Adobe Acroba t Reader. We have this problem with PDFs that I generate in CMS and with commercially generated PDFs. ALL are fine when saved and opened in the fu ll

Thanks. Unfortunately that was where I started and, after grasping at a few straws, returned. I did intercept the output stream and write the data to a disk. It is an exact match of the original PDF file and, when downloaded to my PC, it opens just fine with Acrobat Reader 8. Regards, Richard
