I don't see any need/benefit to create another VTAM saved segment (guessing
both VTAMs will use the same VTAM SW level). Having both VTAMs use the same
segment even saves some real storage, so why do you say to avoid any
storage complaints?

Thanks Kris,

there be no storage problem if the number of defined LUs increases with

The GCS segment must be unique indeed, it contains SW type storage (that is

has mechanisms to make it possible to avoid programs stepping on

of course, this is exactly the way I use to connect to zVSE, but on VM

Yes it does. PARM 39 is CF1 PARM 159 is CF2 and PARM 279 is CF3, unless you

BTW, if you would press enter on the SAPL screen, it will show the CYL or

Yes - and you can have more than up to 9. Oddly enough - this is
documented in HELP CP SHUTDOWN -- see the EXTENT option...

You could connect your RSCS's with VCTC, or go through TCPIP with TCPNJE.
Either way, all you really need to do is write an exec to TAG all of the
files in your L1 spool to go to L2, e.g.
PIPE CP QUERY READER ALL | SPECS W1 NW W2 | STEM FILES.'
Do I=1 To Files.0
Parse Var Files.I Owner
RSCS doesn't connect the spool, but it can allow you to send spool
files between the systems. But, did you purchase the RSCS license
with z/VM? If you didn't, you can't use RSCS to create an NJE
connection between the systems.
