Hi Scott - To free the slot, you simply make it Reserved again. Use the
CP DEFINE CPOWNED command and use the RESERVED parm and you should be all
set. This assumes your volume is already detached from the system, which it
sounds like you did.
Also make sure you have updated your SYSTEM CONFIG

Not your fault. The mailer that John F is uses does not insert the
references
We know how to dynamically remove a CPOWN volume (DRAIN, DETACH) -- but we'd
