printer is lost in those cases.
Yes. Another common cause is that the printer is servicing a request
from another protocol and just not responding to LPR requests at all,
which causes RSCS to time out and stop printing to

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I do not Linux installed so
this is not an option.
Easily fixed. Send me an address offline and I'll send you a tape.
What I notice is that the status of these stuck printers seem to be
stuck in sending state forever but they do respond to a ping.
Thanks, David.
I'll pass on that tape ;)

Hello David,
Thanks for that info. Going to research now how to handle TOD within
REXX in order to determine age in seconds for file.

We have a TOD EXEC I could send you.
Here is what it showed for your data:

We have always used local time as TOD. :-(

Could the 16M be an issue? Should I bump that up?
Virtual storage is cheap, I would definitely bump this up to 64M or
128M and see if
No abends. Ok , will bump it up to 64M

Greetings,
Early this morning we did a VM IPL and I noticed this morning a bunch of
files in the RSCS printer queue which should have been printed on some
LPR printers.
It appears that a VSE machine was sending files to RSCS but that RSCS
did not recognize the destination printer
