SLFTEACH XEDIT
None of my predecessors wrote the SELFTEACH Tutorial. It is an IBM

David,
Look at this WEB page maintained by the good people at IBM Endicott
http://www.vm.ibm.com/education/
It has IBM education AND other companies that provide VM education in CMS
, REXX, CP, and LINUX
Education from one day classes to week long classes
good luck

David,
Nielsen has (had?) some excellent Rexx programmers here in Tampa but they had no
working experience with VM/CMS, and that's one of the most important things for
an Application Programmer (speaking from all my experience as one for IBM).
Drop me a private note if you'd like to talk.
Hi David,
There used to be a CMS Primer and an XEDIT Primer that were part
of the VM library from IBM. We used parts of those books to do our
initial training for new mainframe developers. I don't know if they
still exist or not, but they covered most of what you are looking for.

For Rexx, I would commend Mike Cowlishaw's The Rexx Language, but you may
find it hard to get. Amazon.com just has a facsimile at nearly 68USD. I
don't have Howard Fosdick's Programmer's Reference, but the bits I inspected
online look good.
