I dont know anything about your breed Mic, have never heard of it, but
around here they say not to buy purebred Boer goats because they are
known to be alive one minute perfectly fine and then just dead in the
field all of a sudden. Because of this people buy boer with some
other breeding mixed in

No, it's actually been dry all week for a change! I think the heart
attack is the most likely theory...

Mic - I can't help you with the cause but had the same thing happen as
a child to my much loved year old Saanen doe. One moment she was alive
and the next I found her dead in her

I'm so sorry, Mic. These things are always so upsetting. I had a vet
tell me once, that in these situations with any animal, - sudden death
and no other animals showing any signs of illnes
