If your BIOS is SMART(or any other pre-boot disk diagnostic agent) enabled,
you may try disabling it in BIOS menu (not recommended for permanent use).
I got a similiar problem earlier. The bios detected issues with Hard Disk
health (SMART), and twice failed to boot. I got a new HDD for the laptop,
Just check the speed with a live boot cd/usb like Ubuntu.

I am not a Suse user. But I heard that there is a package manager called
Yast
sreenath just install the padma extension as u would install any other
addon on firefox.. it wil solve ur problem of displaying the page..
then if u want to install malayalam fonts.. download the font u want..
double click the font.. u will get an option to install it in the
preview window.. can u
subin, even if grub is installed, u should be able to boot from a cd..
change ur boot device priority from the bios.. make boot from cd as ur
1st priority.. then boot from harddisk.. then if u have a cd in the
drive when the comp is booting, bios will boot from the cd and not
from the hard disk..

i tried changing the boot priority, the hdd is the last on the list yet the
grub loads in some how... and nishand i dont get wat ur saying.. i got a
laptop and i have no idea how to remove the internal hdd... so any grub
commands guys?
