Problem
1) Not easy to compile. I want cinelerra which could compile on my
machine with libraries of my choice. Have'nt been able to do that yet.
2) GUI is klunky, though I must say, it is the most featureful software
in its catagory. dunno how tough would it be write GUI
I think RedHat 9 and fedora are similar.
No major change
Maybe 2 3 months would bring really interesting changes in fedora
Integration of apt-get/synaptic is something I look forward to.

You can use the count and bs(bite size) options if you want to take a clone
of a particular portion of the hard disk. Refer man pages for details.

Linux will never die , and so will the requirement .
If you see Red hat can't sop desktop support , it make restrict due to
finacial problems , but if famous red hat will stop some one else will grab
the market , if we dream of running linux machines we got to have linux
desktop
