Hi Pratul
Very unfortunately the OSE version is in bad shape due to bad response
in the community. The last time I checked, it didn't even end up with

I have been using the OSE version of

Is there any resource when we can find all the online alternatives too so
that I can use them in my stories while taking about other solutions so as

Hi
No doubt at all. Knoppix just rocks. What has he done with the Compiz
Fusion, its incredibly fast and lightweight???
True. It runs faster than on any other system. The beryl he had given
with knoppix 5.1.1 was also similarly
very fast and good.
Personally I admire Knopper and Adriane a lot.
- Updates and upgrades used to be a major issue, at least till some time
back. Upgrading a Knoppix installation was next to impossible (as some
people on this list can testify). Considering the daily increasing
need for security, having an OS that can't be upgraded is not option.
Of course,
Hi Swapnil
I recently installed Debian Lenny (network install), but I am unable to play
DivX or avi files. It could play mpeg files though.
AVI files play by default for vlc. There is however an issue with
certain divx files (also real media files) whose support is an issue.
