One thing worth trying is a RAM test, my Dual 1.8 GHz G5 felt overly slow (felt like Leopard on a 400 MHz G4-I did that once), and the cause was I had a failed ram module. I'm not sure of a tool for Mac, I just stuck the ram into a PC and ran Memtest86. -- C:\win Bad Command Or File Name C:\

Hi there, On and off, our main iMac has been working extremely slowly. It will take an eternity to start up into Mac OS X, then after logon it MAY or may not work fine. However, most of the time on logon, and nearly all of the time after a good working half hour of light use (Internet, Mail,
