d seem obvious that it can't or didn't find the file during the
build process. Why no error? The file is there.
When you run ldd on the binary, you will see that it doesn't find the
library. You need to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include the path of the library.

Cyrus assumes US-ASCII and replaces all 8bit characters with 'x'. I think
that's the most sensible thing to do. Mail software that generates 8bit
headers is broken.

when Gnus haven't displayed the article to
the user before (which is orthogonal to read/unread status).
I'm not the implementor, but Mulberry lets the user decide. You can choose
to display as "new" messages that:
- are unseen
- are recent
- are recent and unseen
I choose the l
't let you change its idea of the mailbox directory. Apple seem to
agree, because they've changed Mail.app ... starting with Jaguar (I
believe), you can set the path. It's the prefix in the advanced options.
