Assuming the data quality is good and the existing way does not have a
speed limit, I don't see any reason not do an automated edit.
Leave the MapRoulette for the areas where the data and OSm speed limit
don't match?

Not trying to get involved but this would obviously, if you want to go
the gamification route, be something that would far better suited to a
Kort challenge. Kort assume that the players are on the ground and can
actually check.
