Hi gang!
Just received a new Tecra M10 (by the way, I can't believe they still
ship them to us with Windows XP). First thing I will do on it is install
OpenSolaris, b127. In the M10 BIOS settings, I can turn on TPM and
Trusted Execution.
Question is... will OpenSolaris b127 use that? Do I need to

Especially for those little mini Netbooks. They are quite popular here
in Asia, and since the OpenSolaris community is growing in Asia quite
nicely that could prove interesting some day .

Did you order it from here?

Hi, Jim!
Well.. NB200 was a bit more expensive. :) So M10 was the reasonable
choice...
Honestly, I'm impressed by it. (Then again, I come from a Tecra M2, so
being impressed wasn't too hard to achieve!)
Installation was lightning fast. I ordered it directly through our CAMS
process. The "shopope

please try without VT-X, only with bios defaults (by default, nothing is

Ah, but I want VT-X for VirtualBox... so not an option, unfortunately,
for me. :(
I will live without suspend/resume until we support a more comprehensive
set of BIOS settings (in particular, these days, default settings tend
to be more and more the fancy ones).
Thanks for the info,
Gilles.

Sun is not allowed to do anything with Oracle today that it wasn't allowed to
do before the deal was announced, so that's not really an opti

I installed /dev/ build 127 on my M10 and suspend/resume failed the second time

How did you upgrade your BIOS? The only BIOS upgrade file I found is a
Windows executable...

If you have the OpenSolaris model (PPR65U):

Thanks, Glenn, and Haik.
Actually, I don't have the "OpenSolaris" one. I got one with stupid XP
installed on it. So I wiped the disk and THEN put OSol snv_127.:)
Unfortunately, the file is for the PTMB3U... (US model)... I have the
PTMB3E (Euro? model)... I imagine flashing this will upset my W
Since the subject says "Tecra M10", the link below won't be valid (it's
for the R600). But if you go to the M10 download site, and download the
BIOS update file, you can actually unzip it on OpenSolaris (even though
it has a .exe extension). From there you will find readme.txt, along
with an IS

BIO0066T.com for the PTMB3E ... is the exact same as from the US PTMB3U
updater ISO from the US.
So I did the update. I am now with BIOS 3.00... and WiFi still works. :)
Cheers,
Gilles.

Toshiba is now providing bootable ISO images that you can use to upgrade
the BIOS. I burned the ISO to a CD and booted it and it worked fine.
Note that when you boot the CD, you
