Recently I noticed this that, If I keep the files locked for long
times (I am not sure how long it is - more than a week), the CVS is
disabling the lock on it even though I edited that file. Other users
can reserve that file without my notice.
Please let me know how to overcome it.

My SSH client just logs right in, no fuss at all. When you generated your
public and private keys with ssh-keygen did you just select for both
password and confirmation? If you enter a password while

access it via ssh with Eclipse nor with WinCVS.
i have ssh access to the server, and i can execute cvs commands without
any problem when i am logged in via ssh - on the console.
I´ve already set up another server with CVS

On a brighter note, I was finally able to get WinCVS to connect to my CVS
Repository. One of the problems was that I misnamed a cvs parameter on my
CVS Server, specifically, the /etc/xinetd.d/cvspserver file, for Redhat
Linux 7.3. The file was misnamed to
