I don't know if it would even relate at all, but I noticed on the

impression that using prngd might actually be better(?) faster(?)
than using /dev/random on some systems. Openssl 0.9.7 when released

I have had a frustrating time trying to compile 2.0.16 under redhat 7.1. I

This isn't a cyrus-imapd problem, and in fact I don't even believe it is a
cyrus-sasl problem, but I'm hoping someone on this list has come across a
similar issue and has found a reasonable resolution.

Can someone point us to how to stop duplicate delivery elimination?
We tried putting this in imapd.conf:

We're running 2.0.16.

Earlier versions of OpenLdap had reentry issues with its
version of SASL clashing with IMAPD. One of the developers
from openldap acknowledged this on this list and tried to
work out a solution. Although he never updated the list,
the latest version seems to work fine and has exhibited

Argh. Tarjei, you need to update your links. You've posted this wrong a
couple times now :)
This discussion has been going on for quite some time. I am no c-coder or expert in
the dark arts of authentication systems, but I am wondering about the way forward. As
this list has shown, there are quite a lot of users out there using the combo of ldap
and cyrus. How hard would it be to fin

I highly recommend you upgrade to 2.0.16. Your problem is most likely
caused by a stale lock in the berkeley db code, and there is no
solution besiders killing and restarting the master process.
2.0.16 fixes several db3 related problems and may fix your particular
problem.

Paul,
I have also noticed some problems with idle connections clearing. I have a RedHat
7.1 box that, out-of-the-box had the system files-max set to 8024. While we only
have about 100 users currently on the system at any given time, last week, the
server croaked with error messages saying that

We just converted from 1.6.24 to 2.0.15 on Solaris 5.6. We use clear

to be dying. We currently have ~2,500 of them most of which are idle

David,
I have the following recipe:
->Cyrus Imap 2.0.16 + Berkeley DB 3.3.11 + Cyrus SASL 1.5.27 + OpenLDAP
2.0.11 + PAM LDAP 119
This site works just fine. What O/S are you using? If Redhat, which kernel
version?
