This isn't a cyrus-imapd problem, and in fact I don't even believe it is a cyrus-sasl problem, but I'm hoping someone on this list has come across a similar issue and has found a reasonable resolution. I am working with RedHat 7.1 with a 2.4.2 kernel, and I have run into a problem with saslpasswd

I highly recommend you upgrade to 2.0.16. Your problem is most likely caused by a stale lock in the berkeley db code, and there is no solution besiders killing and restarting the master process. 2.0.16 fixes several db3 related problems and may fix your particular problem. Larry

We just converted from 1.6.24 to 2.0.15 on Solaris 5.6. We use clear text passwords (shadow). The master spawned imapd instances don't seem to be dying. We currently have ~2,500 of them most of which are idle (according to truss). lwp_cond_wait(0x6F3765B8, 0x6F3765A0, 0x) (sleeping...)
