Hi everybody.
We suffer a problem with Cyrus-sasl.
Taper (backup application) completly froze the server and we need to make a hard
reboot. Since this reboot, people are unable to connect to their mail account
(using imap4 or pop3).
For a while, restarting cyrus service only seems to restart

Hi there,
I am installing Cyrus version 2.0.16 in a RedHat 7.2 box. I had version
1.6.20 working OK with Qmail on a RH 6 box.
I use pwcheck auth method... /etc/imapd.conf:
sasl_pwcheck_method: pwcheck
I have a strange problem... I can login as admin, create users, users
login and can create sub

Since I have been working on the 2.0.16 locking problem (per my previous e-mails),
I have been taking a good long look at the seen locking behavior and I must admit
confusion as to whether this is working as intended or if it is buggy.
First of all, I am reasonably convinced that the locking prob

Cyrus caches seen state in memory for a time before flushing it to
disk. Generally this works quite well; I use Outlook Express and
don't seem to have this problem, but perhaps I just don't do this
exact sequence of clicks.
It's possible to force Cyrus to synchronize seen state more quickly

Hi,
I have following problem with Cyrus/Outlook express:
- user opens INBOX and clicks on one unseen mail.
- This mail is marked as Read on Outlook Express.
- user clicks on Send/Recv button to check new mail.
- Outlook Express marks previously marked email as Unread again (if

I login like this:
my $plen = length($pass);
warn ("$user $pass\n");
$imap->send(undef,undef,"LOGIN $user {$plen}\r\n$pass")
I tried to write my personal script to make batch command in
creating/listing/deleting user & mailboxes.
I tried to do it in similar manner than Shell.pm perl module, but the
function "_authenticate" called in IMAP.pm module does segmentation fault
after taken the authentication by the demon imapd
The normal Outlook 2000 release works fine but the SR1 release cannot log in
to the system. The SR1 release had something to do with security issues.
I'am running Cyrus 1.6.24 on Linux
What do I have to do to get this version of Outlook to work well?
What's the best version of Cyrus to use on Li
