I have been a long fan of APC ups units, but recently been discouraged by a

Hi Tony,
We use Veritas Backup Exec (Symantec) with our PC servers and back up to
Hi-Rely USB hard disks. This is a very fast solution compared to tape. We
also use Veritas and Ultrium tape solutions in some of our smaller offices -

We are using Veritas, now Seagate Backup Exec. We backup everything to
a HP Dual SDLT Library. Works fine, but I am starting to run low on
capacity.
I am planning on starting to look at Microsoft Data Protection Manager
2007 at some point, and to also make the switch to disk to tape
solution.
Thanks Lance - Sorry about your Mac problem... just kidding ! :-)

Tony,
We are a Mac house and use BRU. We got Disk to Disk to Tape. We use
an Exabyte Magnum 1 X 7 LTO - 2 Backup Tape Drive.
For anyone running mac servers, i recommend BRU, it is inexpensive,
annual support costs me less than $100.

We are still using Veritas, which is now Symantec Backup Exec, but I
don't believe they have a Mac version. We also have an HP tape library,
which works well for us. I had always heard that Retrospect was a
decent piece of software. If you are looking to replace your tape
setup, I would probably
