KFAB...
KFAB, 1110, Omaha, Nebraska, 10/24/08, 0745 am EDT, first heard several men
talking from probable mixing with WBT, then got a clear "Huskies
fans", "KFAB", mentions of the Friday morning breakfast

Listened from 1214-1335 utc. A few more Chinese stations
than normal this morning with the exception of 1593.
180RUSSIA, 1215 very weak with music.
189RUSSIA, 1214 fair with man in Russian and music.
279RUSSIA, 1216 good with guitar music.
558JAP
Listened from 1315-1345 utc and their were more carriers than the last few days
but I heard no audio.

Much better conditions here. An early check had LWBC Radio Rossii on 153,
180, 189, 234, 279 with 189 and 279 at medium level 1235 utc. 209 very poor
Mongolia briefly 1256 utc with music. 828 Japan, weak 1239 utc.
Much later, 1566 with stirring instrumental music, apparently end of
program, 1429
Actual audio on 567, 585, 594, 612, 639, 675, 702, 747, 774, 828, 972, and a
couple of others.
Oddly, the powerhouses on 747 and 774 were only 6's or 7's with about S5 of
signal level.
Hope afoot.

Thanks for the report on HLKR-864 this morning. With KHHO-850's IBOC
silent, I also heard fairly strong Korean on 864 here on both the modified
2010 and E100, but didn't know if it was HLKR or Pyongyang.

Speaking of IBOC being off KNX seems to have turned theirs off too. That
only helps me with 1060 because 1080 is pretty much a mess with 1090's
splatter.

With the tip from Bill Block a bit ago, TA carriers all over. Strong
ones on 864, 873, 1134, and 1215. Weaker ones ones on 819, 909, 1017,
1053, 1071, 1089, 1107, 1161, 1206, and 1269. So far no audio though,
but 1134 seemed close to audio.

10%. This is not AM power.
