It may indeed work. It's not the voltage that is important, but rather the
current. At the low current we require, there will be low losses and therefore
may work. There are schemes where DC is sent down the coax to switch relays etc

I've never heard them. ...Walt

Something was detected on 1521 a while ago, but only maybe a carrier.

Colin,
As you know I am going to be using this on a EWE, with one side of the control

matter? There may be some current in the ground as the soil is so wet here and

Gary, I started at 14:30 after an alert from Colin. By then, I think the
peak had just passed. Still plenty of purely Asian DX, but quickly died,
with a few brief bursts of life from 594, 747, 774, and 828 and
occasionally 1566. 73, Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC

The Victoria session looked very similar but I spent more time basking in
unusual audio popping up in different places and not spending much time chasing
ID's -
Session time: 1315 until 1450 -- one of my longest sessions in the season.
Audio, often fair noted on:
558, 567, 594, 603, 612, 639,
It was an excellent Asian morning on the low band during sunrise enhancement
today, with several less common TP's coming out of the noise to reach fair
levels. 603-China and 657-Pyongyang (with a weak TP co-channel) were the main
attractions early on around 1410, but 639-CNR1 and 738-BEL2

Colin and Nick,
It was one of the best low-band TP mornings of the entire season here, with
603-China at its seasonal best, along with 657-Pyongyang. 603-China was strong
enough to manage a fair signal on the "barefoot" 3 inch FSL Tecsun PL-380. More
details later-- a lunch with Chuck,
Congratulations on this one Colin.
Noticing a bit of audio still creeping through on 1287, 1242,
1566 at 1620UT, so conditions seem to be holding up.
best wishes,

Listened from 1315-1405 UT and conditions was down from yesterday all action
was on the top part of the band. At first no audio and only a very weak
carrier on 1566 but I did get a sunrise enhancement at 1337 UT. Only 3
stations with audio and only a few very weak carriers.
