Once again tonight, good reception from 1610 CHHA Voces Latinas from
Toronto. Not quite as strong, but still a very respectable signal with
latin music, and frequent announcements, and occasional English IDs. All

This Monday evening 171 Morocco is the strongest I've heard it in quite

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your comments on the Korean TP's, and any corrections on the station

As mentioned to Gary in his note about receiving 603 (KBS 2 Seoul), I mentioned
that 603 is not in Namyang-eup. I often see this very outdated information in
station databases, especially those which are run by the older folks in the
hobby (no offense, of course!!!) and never blame any DXer for
Nice audio!! It's hard to hear what's going on in your clip of 603 Hwaseong,
though it is Korean (seemingly a second station in there too) and that song
on 972 is a real Korean oldie there.
PS: On a more specific note, 603 is not in Namyang. But I'll send a separate
message to the list on this
That's the way I've done it although this time I didn't need to go to the
breaker box. I was easily able to DF the noise with one of my Sony 2010's on
batteries.

I wouldn't apologize, Bill! You've got a great "rig." And I don't think

I'm still a fan of taking a battery portable to the fuse box ("load center")
and switching off legs one at a time while listening for noise changes.
That drill led me to a DTV converter/set-top box that turned out to be
reradiating noise back up the coax to the TV antenna.

I recently discovered that I had two older ethernet adapters in line for my

apparently 'gone south' in terms of the noise they produce. Both are switching

I'm thankful to Chuck for mentioning the Monster Power inverter that he

A routine band check after some antenna work at 1230 turned into one of the

Good Morning, indeed! I listened from 1358 to 1425 with the following results:
774, JOUB with female with EE lesson at a good level at 1358, hanging in with
sporadic audio until 1425
747 JOIB with faint audio at 1411
Decent carriers on 1242, 1134, 1044, 972, 828, 693, 594
Very good TP-DX conditions are currently showing up on the west coast this
morning, Richard. Both 594-JOAK and 972-HLCA have hit several S9 peaks, and
both 657-Pyongyang and 738-BEL2 are managing fair audio. Even 936 (presumed
Anhui) had weak audio around 1345. Its still pitch dark here, though,
Early results show signs of improved reception this morning here in
Alberta as well.
