Last night or rather early this morning at 00:30 hours PST I encountered
another unusual condition on 540 khz which had CBC radio 1 in SK absent from
the slot and allowing an SS language program to come though with a fairly
strong and readable signal but unfortunately I didn't get an ID and so c

Well, I was "playing around" with my SDR-IQ tonight and I heard two stations on
540.
N/S was WQIH850 in Burien, with a promo about the Wild Strawberry Festival
6/20-21, which I logged back in 2010.
E/W was a loop with NO ID stating that they were an Emergency broadcast stati
It's the last night for us in Kona, and I was attempting to record a sign off
routine for 540-2AP-- a 5 kW station in Apia, Samoa. The station seemed to
cooperate nicely by pounding in at an S9+ level around 0956, but it simply kept
going strong after 1000, refusing to sign off. Anyway. here is

KNMX is in Las Vegas, New Mexico not Nevada. You very likely heard
XEWA in San Luis Potosi MEXICO with 150 kw.
Or it might have been the Tijuana station (if they're still on the
air). Years ago XEWA would be a nightly visitor here along with CBK.

Tonight @2200 noticed WAUK mixing weakly w/CBK which @ times was non
existant leaving WAUK alone. They were a rarity here. Makes me wonder
if their pattern is outta whack? This also reminds me of an earlier
posting this year of north and nw SSS and early nightfall advantages.

Kept forgetting to report this: WXYQ has been off at random checks
during different days. I have noticed though KWMT's groundwave signal
has gotten stronger here in the cities. The wet ground theory is out
because until last night this region has been rainless for o/3 weeks

audible u/CBK. Recently they have become a pest where as before I hadnt
logged them before. Did they officially change their night pattern or

CBK was in well earlier but is fading out/noise getting stronger. The other
