Hi, I can't get X working on my PVR-350 (rev 990) TV-OUT and would really
appreciate some help.
I am using Mandrake 10.1 with a 2.6.8.1-12 kernel on a dual-Xeon system. I am
running ivtv-0.3.2a with the tuner patch and the latest driver from the
Hauppauge web site.

I've attached the relevent dmesg output after loading ivtv from 0.3.2b
running on FC3 (kernel 2.6.9-1.724). No problems using ivtv 0.3.2a,
however (which works rather well so far).
Let me know if higher debugging levels/etc. would help.
Regards,
Tim

Hello,
I recently received a PVR-500 as a present.
I am interested in helping make the ivtv drivers work with NTSC per
Axel's request.
Can anyone tell me / help me with what I need to do?
I already installed the ivtv-0.3.x-Amity2 drivers from Atrpms onto a
clean FC3 box.
What should my modprobe

Post your xorg.conf and the xorg log file & I'll take a look.

I had some down time today, so I thought I would look at msp3400
distributed in the kernel source and see what needed to be changed in it
to get it to work with the ivtv driver. I have been trying to do this for
some time, but never got around to it.
Well, I guess good things come to those who

Hi,
I want to try the v0.8 Xorg driver, but I get Xorg not configurated.
I followed the description below.

This is a snap from the Xorg.1.log

Hey, if I have to reboot anyway, it doesn't matter using Linux or Win* in
the first place. ;-)
I wonder how you used to "tune to good station". I've selected some channels
which I know to contain a station in normal operation, but ivtvctl -I never
presented anything than
# ivtvctl -I
check SAA
Hi Nick,
Didn't have time to test your trick (I'm having trouble with my
PVR-350 tuner type 38 too: unstable picture).
I know from experience in the past that rmmod of all related modules
followed by 'modprobe ivtv' while tuned to a station does not help.
So, if your trick works, the soft reboot se
Well I'm back to square 1... I borrowed a 350 from a friend to try
some dual card setup and tuning doesn't work for me either (bummer, I
had a working config...)
saa7115 reg 0x1e is 0x40 so basicly the same issue. I get this with
both cards; doubt that they both are broken.
Hope to get this sorted
Found a fix quicker than I thought; don't know if it will "survive" a
cold boot but hey, I got some stuff programmed to record right now so
I'm happy for now :-)
try this:
ivtvctl -I should give something like BAD SIGNAL
with ptune-ui.pl, tune to good station.
ivtvctl -I gave in my case: Sat/Dvd

Hi,
I am trying to install an PVR-150MCE in a box where i 've got a
PVR-350 running. The PVR-150 seems to initialise well but I am unable
to get any output from it.
When running cat /dev/video1 > test.mpg I get a 0kb file. Someone has
an idea what is going wrong?
Thanks
