Yes, I've worked even with 2.5ppm VTCXO.(output frequency may be slighty
modified using a voltage)
However some of them are so expensive ($75 up to $150) that are prohibitive.
I've seen 3.3V TCXO with 5ppm at $2.5 or so, I think at Digikey.

Dear developers
I must congratulate you on the superb quality of the jallib libraries
and examples. These are the best I have seen for open source code.
I still program every day in Jal and Python and the biggest problem
is examples and how-to's. A few days ago, I made a new board with

Has anyone tried crystal based oscillators like this one for an RTC? I
have one, but did not try it on RTC. You just add GND + 5v and get an
output.

That's nice.
You'll want either NPO capacitors, or possibly quality Pxxx or Nxxx
depending on temperature coefficient of crystal.
I wonder how you decide what to put in calibr

It will depend ENTIRELY on:
1) Quality / Accuracy of the 32.768 crystal
2) Having a fine adjustment "trimmer capacitor" on the approriate
crystal/CPU Osc pin
3) Ambient temperature
Hi guys,
random.org said we have to update SVN with beta compiler. I'll update it
tonight.

Hi all,
PIC18FxxJ11 has an internal RTCC which is using the TMR1 oscillator (need a
32768KHz external crystal or oscillator). Has someone tested this RTCC
accuracy yet?
datasheet claims minimum calibration range of +/-2.8 seconds/month.
thx,
Vasile
