Not so! I predicted that duke nukem would come before closures... Looks like
I was right :)

Sheer genius. Thanks for that, Karsten!
It's hard to name a favourite bit, but I guess this is the winner for me:

I would be satisfied, if Android markets would allow me to actually buy an

Ehh, as in, JDK7 hasn't shipped yet and I predict when it does, it
will have little impact. If it hasn't happened yet, surely it must be
a prediction no? The main purpose seems to be to defy the accumulated

How about invoke dynamic (JSR 292), diamond operator, strings in switch?
InvokeDynamic is useful, certainly...

Originally, you predicted it would be underwhelming, which we already
know, as Java 7 has few if any features that will have the masses of
corporations and developers clamouring for it.
No, that's actually taken out a context. I predicted we would finally
see a JDK7 but that it won't matter

Not everything is sync'ed in the background, but what already is is a life
saver. Can't wait to see this method extended to other content.
I won't ask you how you sync your music

people will get the reference).

My 4 predictions are:
1. Java will get back on track with JDK7's release and stabilisation
of the JCP (or something similar to replace the JCP). A generally more
positive vibe.
2. The action in personal computing and to a lesser extent in
corporate computing will center round touch devices,
