+1 for BeyondPod. I have tried most of them (including ACast, and Listen) - I am really impressed with its features, configurability, and stability. DoggCatcher is also supposed to be good, but I didn't try it, because it is a paid app, without a trial period (BeyondPod has a free 1 week trial).

I use Listen too, mostly because it's the first thing I tried. Agreed about the bugs, and the UI is wonky at best, but it does support listening without downloading, and the screen for a podcast has whatever summary is attached to it. What I really wish it had was a way to speed up while listening
