[JAWS-Users] SayAll keystrokes

2007-04-21 Thread Griffiths, Steve
I've got JAWS 8.0.1163U and Word 2003. If I press Insert + DownArrow Eloquence does a SayAll, and if I press Alt + Insert + DownArrow my SAPI 5 does the SayAll - this is as it should be. But if I go to the SayAll Options dialogue in the configuration manager and check the "Use SAPI 5 during SayAll

My understanding is that this is another screen that will only read if JAWS is set to start automatically. Is that how you have it? Steve -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list@googlegroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Sarah Sent: 21 March 2007 18:23 To: jaws-users-list@goo

Jason, You need to have JAWS running as a service. The way to do that is to go to the JAWS window, open the Options menu and choose Basics. On that dialogue, check the "Automatically start JAWS" checkbox and OK out of the dialogue. If JAWS has been put in the StartUp section of the Programs subme

I just changed my JAWS 8 to a laptop keyboard layout and the Insert + A command works the same as when I have the desktop layout. I'm using Outlook 2003. Steve -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list@googlegroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Steve & Shannon Sent: 01 March

Patricia, I think Outlook 2000 does not have this facility; a later version of Outlook, such as Outlook XP and Outlook 2003 is required to give the same facility as Outlook Express. Steve -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list@googlegroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Pat

Annette, I don't know where Outlook stores this information, but I know how you can turn it off in Outlook 2003. It's on the Tools menu, Options. On the Preferences page, which should have focus, press the E-mail Options button, then the Advanced E-mail options button and on that dialogue, down

Lisa, I don't know of a JAWS one, but Outlook Express has a Find Message keystroke, Control + Shift + F. Press it while you're in the Deleted Items folder and then Tab through to the edit areas where you can put in some search criteria such as a word that appeared in the subject. Then press Enter

Dale, I'm not clear which application you're using. If "Outlook Distress" means "Outlook Express", then I can't help because I don't use that. If it means "Outlook 2003", then I can. The first item in the View menu is Arrange By; go into that and you'll find an item called "Show in Groups" near

Jason, This is a feature of the Control + PageDown keystroke, although it should be cleared when Word is closed and reopened - do you by any chance have more than one session of Word open? If so, try closing them all down. Control + PageDown and Control + PageUp do a find next and find previous.
