If you wanted, you could silence JAWS by switching Screen Echo to None. The Seek Slider is the thing that moves in percentage when you go back or forward, thus it has to reflect that. (Percentage representing position in time in the track, etc., being played.) 20% of 4 minutes would be 48 se

I have a similar experience. Sometimes when I am composing email using outlook express the edit fields do not speak i.e. to: cc: subject:, the fields just say edit. This can be annoying requiring me to unload and quit jaws and load it again. And, even this does not always work. - Original Me
