JAWS is designed to work on laptops. In the setup you have to choose the laptop keyboard option. Then the caps lock key becomes the JAWS key, and you can use it in combination with several other letter keys to navigate, as you do with the desktop keyboard num pad. You can connect a standard

JAWS has a layout specifically designed for laptop keyboards. If you don't like it, you can buy a relatively inexpensive external num pad that will plug into one of the USB ports on your laptop. You can look in the JAWS help system for more information on the laptop layout. Erin -
