I downloaded and installed the latest version of jaws but something weird is
going on.
I would go and change the rate to a quicker speed but once I click finish it
goes back to the default slow speed. Why?

Sense I had to re format my drive and use the disk to install v 11 the
update works well with the update from the help menu. When I had downloaded
v 11 from the net, I had the same problem and the help update never did
