That's not quite true. Some programs, notably Internet Explorer, have no
Windows search command of their own, and in such cases , Control-F, as well
as JAWS key-Control-F, both invoke the JAWS Find command.

Rick has it right. Internet Explorer does and did utilise control f,
before JAWS, for its 'find on this page' command. (you can see that
command in IE's edit menu.) It's more limited than JAWS has it, but it
does exist.

While that may be true, for all practical purposes, the Windows search

I could not get my voice to work or read the way version 12 did.
This is probably due to my lack of computer skills.
I like the original eloquence voice and could not find this when I went to
13.
The voices in 13 mis-read many words.
So, I went back to 12.
Good luck.

hello there;
first,
when your using the run box,
do not type a space between jaws and 13.
type:

regarding your jaws icon,
shortcut,
highlight the jaws 13 icon,
press alt+enter to bring up properties,
tab over where it says,
shortcut key none,
type the letter j and press enter.
That's exactly what I did for the icon, and I always type jaws13 with no
space. It still doesn't work.

I have just installed Kindle for PC. I have figured out how to get a book

speech rate but it is still irritatingly choppy. Any suggestions?
