My main hard drive was going bad so my PC people put a new one. Now jaws is
looking for authorization. What do I do? I attempted to authorize but is not
taking the serio number from the old hard drive.

email FS support they'll reset your authorizations if you tell them the

If you have installed jaws on 3 hard drives already then you may need to
call FS and have them give you more authorizations
At any rate I would call them and have them help you with this issue. Just
my opinion.

Ok, I have JAWS set to intermediate, then set it to beginner, and still
didn't hear the extra information I am wanting to hear.
I'm not sure if there is a problem, or not.
Thanks for the help.

I went to speedtest.net and most of the page is the html code for the page.
I recently switched from Verizon to Comcast and wanted to look at the actual
speed. Is there a jaws friendly speed test site?

Jaws up until JFW 15 at least for me would speak the number of unread emails

through folders especially when running multiple email accounts and inboxes.

I press the jaws key and the page down key. It works for me.

I think you will find that your JAWS verbosity is set to intermediate or
advanced; change it to beginner, and you will hear the longer prompts. If
you find that JAWS then talks too much in other respects, then the list
under the beginner verbosity group should allow you to fine-tune things to
thank you

Hi
I'm trying to set up a friend's new computer, Windows 7 64 bit, to be able
to read the occasional Word document he may have. This computer came with
Microsoft Office 2013. But no Office program has been run as a demo or
activated. I installed the Microsoft Office Word viewer and the
Viewer is not going to work unless you use the Jaws cursor, I find it
annoying but nothing but Jaws cursor will work in the viewer. I don't know
what to tell you except that possibly activate 13 and see if it will read
the document without the viewer.

since the 2015 is not compatible with jaws , if I install the antivirus and buy
a lifetime key card, after inserting the registration number could I just leave
the antivirus at default settings and never have to touch it so it would not
matter if it is or not jaws compatible correct?
Email is
hello;
did you set the default to beginner
I to am using jaws 16, windows 8.1, and jaws does anounce copy to clipboard,
wen set to beginner.
or, if you are wanting this behaviour in a program, just open the program,
example, word, notepad, outlook,
now use the quick settings, insert+j,
now type
1, insert+f2=run jaws manager,
2, s=settings center enter,
3, type verbosity into the search edit,
now if you want this to be a global result,
press ctrl+shift+d=default,
arrow down until you hear;
verbosity level,
use spacebar to make choice,
you then can tab okay.

If you have office 2013, why are you using the viewer instead of word?
If you have the office suite it would be better to use that as it is
fully functional with jaws.

Hi.
On my system, Jaws 15 will still read the number of messages when navigating
through the favorite folders list.
Jaws 16 won't.

When installing a new version of JAWS, and/or uninstalling an older version,
I have come to the conclusion that as a general rule, it is better to delete
the old user settings on the uninstall, and say no to any prompt about
picking up old user settings on the new install. I know that Freedom
Let FS know, probably the more they hear on this the quicker
they may fix.

Thanks. Hitting F11 did the trick and restored the address bar.
Apparently, I must have inadvertently hit F11 and turned on full screen mode
so that the address bar was not showing. Pressing F11 again to toggle full
screen mode off and restore normal mode fixed the problem.

Thank you for this.
I tried it, and it works.

Phil.
I have the same set up.
Try turning on the jaws cursor then hold down the control key and hit
the end button. You might have to hit control home and then hit the control
end.
It will give you the total number in the folder and
24 matches
