So now it's time to put this to bed and get back to the normal business of this

Thank you very much for the vote of support. I had no idea that offering an

Hi Group,
I would like to know if the new update for JAWS 16 is causing any issues
using the high quality voice of Tom. I thought I read on this list that
some people were having issues with some voices not working properly. Also
if there is any other issue with the last update of JAWS?
Do you use Tom as the primary voice and do you have it smoothed out so it is
not choppy? I have tried several times to use Tom as my primary voice but I
just can't get the voice smoothed out so it is not choppy. I do like the voice
very much but I continue to use eloquence.

I successfully installed the speak dropbox program. However, when I
launched it from the system tray to give it a look see once I exited
from the program I can no longer locate it in the system tray. I thought
using jaws key 11 would solve the problem since sometimes more items

Yes, I use this often but it doesn't work for me while trying to use
narrator. Maybe I have a problem. I'll try and check it out again.

I am using W7, outlook 2010 and latest jaws. When turning on narrator, how
do you turn off jaws so as not to get both talking at the same time. I
have tried using insert, spacebar plus letter S but this does not stop
jaws from talking. I should know this but I just can't remember how to do
it.
sometimes jaws loses focus, fs is aware of the issue and they should fix it

Insert plus Control and s. It's a toggle. Hit the combo again when you
want JAWS to fire up again.

Hi, I read you want to get a new computer with your sighted husband.
Windows 8.1 is great, because there are more keyboard commands and you
can have your computer start up on the desktop. With Windows 8.1, you
get to use the start screen with all of the apps tiles on it. Here's
the thing. When

Hi.
You are sure to like windows 10 then, as it keeps the same layout as
windows 8.1, but brings some of the stuff only about half way back to
the old windows 7 way of doing things. The windows x stuff is still
there, and there are even more keystrokes if I'm not mistaken than in
windows 8.1.
Hi.
It could be that you accidentally closed the program by the way you
exited the speakDropbox menu. You can re launch it from the short cut in
your start menu (it's just called speakDropbox).
Other than that, my recommendation is that you do away with the
notification chevron thing
Does one have to turn it on in some way other than using the key strokes
posted elsewhere? As far as I can tell, even after using those, I'm still
in JAWS ...it acts the same, so ...I'm a bit confused.

Hello-
I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials with JAWS 14 and Windows 7.
Every time I bring up MSE within a few seconds JAWS stops working. I get a
message something like, JAWS application has stopped working. I open JAWS

I tried these keystrokes, and I got a dialog box asking me to choose the
