Hi Tom,
To the best of my knowledge there is not a way to raise the height of a cell
without increasing the height of the row.
I did try to increase the Font to 84 points and it did so within that cell
and the font was still the same size as it was before. However, the row
height was increased
Hi all,
Is there a way to plug in an adapter or some hardware in a USB to give me
extra USB ports on my laptop?

Hi Ann,
Yes, they are called USB hubs. A good brand is Belkin, but there are a lot
of them out there. You can add anywhere from 2 to 7 USB ports by plugging 1
of these into an existing USB port.
Take care.

Ann, a powered USB hub should do the trick. you'd have to decide on how
many ports you want/need. maybe others can offer more input as to what
to look for or get.

As far as reading PDF files online, I don't read enough of them to give you

Mike,
Good suggestion. Only thing I would add is she needs to
determine whether the port is USB 2.0 or 3.0 and get the
proper hub.

So you think that simply installing the latest version of Adobe Reader over
the version that is already on my computer will add the Adobe PDF Reader
add-on to IE 11? I tried processing a PDF document with Firefox 40, and it
seems to work, so the Adobe PDF Reader extension is apparently

It should, you should only have to reinstall it. I am only going on what

Tom, You can open the Home tab and shift tab upwards 13 times or until you
find Cells group box, Format... and press enter on this. You will be given
the option to either type in a number for the height of the cell, or to Auto
fit the sell height. The Column width is here a as well along with
You can purchase a USB hub that can increase the munber of ports that you

Thanks for correcting me, I'll have to try running a 3.0 drive from a 2.0

In case your new computer has both 2.0 3.0 USB ports, the way to tell the
difference is the 2.0 USB ports are black, the 3.0 USB ports are blue.
Hopefully your computer is using standard colors to identify them. A 2.0

I was under the impression that accessing the Windows 10 search results would
be as easy as using the up or down arrows to get to the search results, but it
would seem that this is not the case, unless I have a bug where the
applications menu does not activate in the Windows 10
Yes, once it was very accessible, before Symantec bought it, used it from 1990

I just went through it - go to JAWS on your Desktop, then to Utilities, then to
settings then to text processing. It is in text processing that you get your
speak dollar. Mike might be able to explain better, because sometimes, I kind

Mike,
I have a portable 3.0 docking station and if I plug it into
a 2.0 USB port it will work, but JAWS says something like
plugging this into a 3.0 hub will operate faster. Been
sometime since I heard that because I know which ports are
which so that statement above should not be take verbatim.
The results will be that the drive will work fine at the 2.0 speed. Things
always default to the slowest part.

On my old XP computer running JAWS 9, monetary amounts were announced
correctly. For instance $86.75 was announced by JAWS as “Eighty six dollars
