Hi Gene,
Good find! Everyone should save a copy of their authorization & serial
numbers for both JAWS & Openbook in a text file that can be accessed quickly
when needed. I can't count how many times I've needed this information when
updating Jaws or Openbook. Thanks much.
Take care.

At the risk of beating a dead horse to death, here are two typical scenarios.
I've just finished editing a Word file and want to send it as an attachment. I
close the file, place focus against the filename in the file list, press
control-c and go from there. No searching involved.

Maria, that's the Nemeth code, or at least how it used to be. I'm unfamiliar

I don't know if any changes have been made, but my authorization number
on the disk is a job to read, as there are no capitals or number signs
to differentiate between letters and numbers.

Hi Everyone!
Ignore my previous question, I found it, and in doing so, may have found
a way for Adam to get his full authorization code, at least it worked
for me. This will only work on an already activated copy of JAWS.
Steps:
1. Press the JAWS key + the J key, for me it is Insert+J
2.
It's on the CD that comes with the original installation of Jaws.

I don't really see where the time savings is, because no matter how you
do it, at some point, you will have to navigate to the file you want to
attach. You either do it in Explorer or in your email client.

Actually, with this method you can type Alt+D and specify a path to move
directly to it. There is also a quick list of recently edited files from which
you can select - ideal for the common case in which you edit a file and then
wish to attach it to a mail message.

I find that browsing, which I assume this method involves, is time-consuming.
On my system, which has a fairly complicated folder and subfolder structure to
accommodate many needs, browsing can take some trial and error. Since I
normally know where a file is located, I can navigate there much

Hi!
If that will work in Thunderbird, you probably need to be sending HTML
messages as opposed to plain text.
If it works though, that would be a fast and easy way to attch something
to an email. Thanks for tat, I'll have to try it next time I need to
attach something.

Pardon my asking, but, what do you need the authorization number for? If
you are looking to activate a new installation of JAWS, all you need is

Mike, that program reveals passwords in your browser or email client. I
don't believe it would work in this situation. Good guess though, an A for
effort.

Is there any way of finding out your full authorisation number without
