tool provided by the specific vendor.
In your case, it's called "McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool"; can't
speak on it's accessibility at all.

I can use the dongle, if I had an available USB port on the back of the
computer, but I don't. I don't like things sticking out of the front of the
computer, but I'll defintely use the dongle until I get activation keys, if
