Al, I am on the same page as you in regard to difficulties with avg 8 and the pro security package. Avg antispyware was not accessible when I tried it separately. So, I am continuing with avgfree v. 7 which is very easy to use. And I am in the learning process with the paid version of super

Beware of the paid version of AVG. I have used the free version for many years but today I decided to try the paid version. After installing it I tried to run the control center. I got one of those errors that says something like. the instruction at 0 has performed an illegal operation.

Hi Max: I am using the full version of AVG with JAWS, no problem. What version of JAWS are you running? Are you using XP as I am? Before asking for your money back, perhaps you could speak to the techs at Grisoft, or give somebody on this group a chance to help you. It's a great program.
