I'm setting up a laptop for someone and originally had it set to echo words
when typing. Now when I try to set it to echo characters and words it refuses
to change.
Any suggestions?

Yep, that's how it is.
I think I'm just going to reinstall JAWS 14 and do the settings in the JAWS
startup settings.

Wow so the other two places are set to characters/words and it still does not
give you that when typing?

You can speed Jaws up or slow him down. You must be using the say all command.

Does anyone know the shortcut for speeding jaws up?
Kind
You don't have to be using the SayAll command, if you use
ctrl+Alt+page-up/page-down, to speed or slow JAWS speech. .

So, are you saying that if I set keyboard settings back to default, then I
will be able to change typing echo or keyboard echo?
