Audible Manager to my PC to play the book. I'm using XP with SP3 and JFW
14 latest build. I can't seem to find the help topic that will tell me such

There is no way to go from reading about a book, to downloading it in one
click. You have to purchase the book first, then go to your library and
download it.

A more specific answer to your question is that it just isn't that simple.
If you are looking at a book that you want to buy, you can now access the
sample if you have Jaws 12 or higher than that, just by pressing enter on
play. If you want a summary of the book

and knows this stuff inside out.
